Tour includes: This tour includes roundtrip transportation by luxury shuttle, private guided tours and all admissions, and an elegant multi-course lunch. Does not include driver gratuity (suggested $5 pp.)

 

8:30 a.m.: Depart from Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 450 Maxwell Dr. Pgh, Pa 15236

 

10:30 a.m.: Arrive at the First Ladies National Historic Site and Home of the National First Ladies Library and Museum, 205 Market Ave. S. Canton, OH 44702. This unique historic site shines a light on the outstanding accomplishments of the iconic women who have intricately woven themselves into the fabric of our great nation. This repository of scholarly research and information tells the story of American history through the eyes of the women who lived it alongside their presidential husbands. The First Ladies National Historic Site is a nonprofit operated by the National Park Service and the U.S. Department of the Interior. Established in 2000, the site encompasses the historic Saxton-McKinley House, First Ladies Park, The Visitors Center, and the National First Ladies Library and Museum. Facilities include galleries, a research library, seminar rooms, a Victorian Theater, a gift shop, and archival storage. It is the ONLY site in the world dedicated to preserving the legacy of these remarkable women.

 

10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Guests will enjoy a private guided tour of the First Ladies National Historic Site, Library, and Museum featuring the exhibit Leaders in Literacy: First Ladies as Teachers, Educators, and Librarians, plus a privately guided tour of the historic Saxton-McKinley House (childhood home of First Lady Ida McKinley.)

 

1-3 p.m.: Canton Womens’ Club, 822 Market Ave. N. Canton, OH 44702. Enjoy a multi-course lunch served in the unique space of the historic Canton Women’s Club. This Women’s Club was established in 1920 by a progressive group of women looking to provide a social establishment for the women of Canton and foster traditions of friendship, education, hard work, and civic involvement. Lunch includes: soup or salad, garlic toast sticks, signature sticky buns, an entree with a side, dessert, beverage, all taxes, and gratuity.

 

3 p.m.: Depart for Pittsburgh.

 

5 p.m.: Approximate return to Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church.
